Legends are a way people have of explaining the unexplained. Some are seen as myths or as “just so” stories, a way of explaining why things are the way they are.
In Ruthorford, there are many things that can’t be explained by what we know today. So the people, both Native American and Scot, have told stories to help explain what they cannot.
Here I have started a collection of such stories, to help the reader gain a better perspective of Ruthorford and her descendants. Or, just some fun stories told to the children around a fire.
