I spent Sunday with Santa and Mrs. Claus. I actually met them a couple of years ago; but, this time, my husband was with me. After I introduced them, he turned and smiled, whispering, “I just shook hands with Santa!”
Book signings are so much fun and I always meet new people, making new friends, as well as seeing some old friends. This one was extra special because of all the children that came to meet and talk with Santa. Some are quite open about what they want and others whisper it so their parents won’t hear. Then, there’s always a little one who’s all excited until they get near and then wail in fright, still watching to make sure Santa won’t forget them.
I had such a great time. And, I have to admit, I gave Santa my list. When he saw how long it is, he looked at me, threw back his head and let out a loud, “Ho! Ho! Ho!”
